Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins Isn't Comfortable With Documentary - Spinner

As Spinnerpreviously reported,Foo Fightersfans will be flocking to cinemas across America on Tuesday for the one-night-only theatrical release of the documentary film 'Foo Fighters: Back and Forth,' followed by a live, 3D simulcast of the Foo Fighters performing their upcoming album 'Wasting Light' in its entirety. That's exciting news for fans...but for drummerTaylor Hawkins, not so much.

"I wish we wouldn't put the f---ing movie out to be honest, because I'm not really comfortable with the public sort of openness,"he toldNMErecently."We almost broke up and I almost died and all those crazy things have happened. And that's what people want.'

It sure is. Hawkins conceded that the documentary was done well and is accurate and is"actually way more interesting"than he thought a movie about his band would be. It just hits a little too close to home at points, it seems. After all, it is his life on the big screen. Ironically, his uncomfortableness with the realness of it all only makes us want to watch it all the more. Funny how that works.
