Pete Doherty Self-Portrait Blood Painting for Sale by Fan - Spinner

What's better than getting an autograph from one of your favorite musicians? Getting an original blood painting. It's also a whole lot more valuable. Like, to the tune of $40,580. That's roughly the asking price (converted from British pounds) that a lucky fan-in-need is asking for his one-of-a-kindPete Dohertyartwork.

NMEreports that the fan, known as Alistair, approached Doherty, after a gig last year in Manchester, England asking if theLibertinesandBabyshamblesfrontman could help him raise some funds. Doherty offered to send him some petty cash (around $30) and a blood painting. He made good on one of those two things -- Doherty actually sent the fan a 32"x32"self-portrait. The original blood painting was signed,"For Alistair, love Peter."
