Ultra Music Fest Adds Duran Duran, Moby, the Disco Biscuits, Many More - Spinner

As Spinner previously reported, the 2011 incarnation of theUltra Music Festivalin Miami, Fla. transforms the electronic-minded event from a daylong gathering to a full-on three-day extravaganza. Furthermore, the fest unentangles itself this year from the previously concurrentWinter Music Conference, a SXSW-flavored electronic music convention that traditionally takes over Miami during March. For the first time, the two events do not overlap.

On Tuesday, Ultra Music Festival unveiled what it's calling the"second phase"of its lineup rollout. Joining the ceremonies will be a mix of traditional bands that have embraced electronic technology -- such asDuran Duran(pictured) and theDisco Biscuits-- alongside traditional DJs and producers that have embraced the live realm -- such asMoby,Kaskade,SashaandCut Copy. These additions join previously announced headlinersTiesto,deadmau5,Chemical Brothers,David Guetta,Carl CoxandCrystal Castles. Of course, the list goes on but other performers of note include:Chromeo,CSS,will.i.am,Rusko,NEROandEmpire of the Sun. And so on.
